Cleaning: It can be used for cleaning metal, concrete, and other surfaces to remove dirt, scale, or graffiti.

Deburrring: Sandblasting is used to remove sharp edges or burrs from metal parts.

Etching: Sandblasting can be used for artistic or decorative purposes to create patterns, designs, and text on glass, wood, or metal.

Restoration: Antique furniture, historic architectural elements, and vintage vehicles are often restored using sandblasting to remove old finishes and reveal the underlying material.

Abrasive Material: Sandblasters use various abrasive materials, depending on the application. Common materials include silica sand, aluminum oxide, garnet, glass beads, and steel grit. The choice of abrasive depends on the desired result and the material being treated. Compressed Air: A source of compressed air is used to propel the abrasive material out of the nozzle. The pressure of the compressed air and the nozzle’s design control the speed at which the abrasive particles are ejected. Nozzle and Gun: The nozzle, attached to the gun, directs the stream of abrasive particles towards the surface being treated. Target Surface: The abrasive particles impact the target surface, removing contaminants, old paint, rust, or other unwanted materials. This process effectively “blasts” away the surface layer.
